Released: October 2021
Reason Matt came into care: Matt initially came into care at Port Stephens Koala Hospital after being displaced by housing development in Medowie. Upon receiving a health check (given to all animals upon arrival), Matt was found to have urogenital chlamydia and treatment was commenced.
Treatment provided: Matt received daily antibiotics to treat the urogenital chlamydia as well as ongoing health assessments to make sure he was recovering well. Once he was given the all-clear, and the condition cleared, Matt was released near his original location, away from the housing development.
