Fund Raising

As Port Stephens Koala Hospital is a not-for-profit organisation, fundraising plays a very important role. Some of our activities include:

Merchandise and information tables set up at various venues such as shopping centres, and so on
Market days and
Bunnings BBQ’s etc.

As a member of the Fundraising team, in addition to working at various events, you may also be involved in activities, such as:

Booking events
Preparing a volunteer roster
Packing of stock tubs
Booking equipment for the event e.g. marquee, banner, tables, chairs etc.
Setting up and packing up on the day of the event, and
Assisting with unpacking and finally reconciling the days takings

There will always a team of volunteers to assist and training is provided by the Fundraising Coordinator.

We rely on adoptions and donations to help save koalas and other native wildlife. As we are a not-for-profit organisation, your generosity will help to cover the inevitable costs.

We have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status which makes it easier for us to fundraise to support the ongoing work of Port Stephens Koala Hospital.
