Our resident Steve Martin was spotted as he walked across a road and bumped into a tree in Glen Martin, NSW. Was it a comedy sketch or did this koala have a serious problems with his orientation and vision? And why is he called Steve? Steve was the name of the kind person who found him and by chance, our rescue volunteer was also called Steve. And because he was found in Glen Martin his official name is Glen Martin Steve. It was too much of a joke for our vet – he nicknamed him Steve Martin and he has been entertaining us ever since! We would love for you to adopt him and bring joy to your life too.
We rely on adoptions and donations to help save koalas and other native wildlife. As we are a not-for-profit organisation, your generosity will help to cover the inevitable costs.
We have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status which makes it easier for us to fundraise to support the ongoing work of Port Stephens Koala Hospital.
