Work Experience – Expression of Interest

The Port Stephens Koala Hospital (PSKH) Work Experience application is to be completed by any secondary school student seeking school-based work experience opportunities.

PSKH provides an ideal place for you to gain work experience, particularly if you have a genuine interest in the well-being of our endangered koalas and other Australian native animals.

Please, then complete the attached Work Experience Application and submit it for our consideration. Also be aware of the following, as it may impact your ability to complete work experience at PSKH:

  • applicants must be 15 years or older and if under 18 years of age, must have the consent of a parent or guardian (we will discuss this once we have received your application).
  • due to the schedule for koala care shifts, start times are usually earlier than school start times, and
  • due to the location of PSKH, public transport does not facilitate easy transport options.

Please answer all questions and provide as much information as possible, where appropriate.

Upon receipt of your application, our staff will consider your request and respond to you as soon as possible.

Our koalas rely on your support.

We rely on adoptions and donations to help save koalas and other native wildlife.  As we are a not-for-profit organisation, your generosity will help to cover the inevitable costs.

We have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status which makes it easier for us to fundraise to support the  ongoing work of Port Stephens Koala Hospital.
